I’ve just recently returned from a lovely few days in Paris with two close friends. At the top of the Eiffel Tower we happened across a rather interesting exhibition showing some examples of the tower souvenirs which have been available to buy through time. My particular favourites are the Eiffel tower scissors. A slightly more modern note was struck by the Eiffel tower condoms and Paris thongs currently to be found in the gift shop, unfortunately I don’t have a photo of these.
Looking round Worcester Museum and Art gallery, I found some lovely examples of type on old Pharmacy packaging, I find it such a shame that packaging these days isn’t nearly so interesting or beautiful. I’m very tempted to start a collection of old bottles and packets as a reminder of how product design used to be.
I’m in the mood for posting oddities, going with that I offer a (sadly not very good) photo of a two headed calf taken in Hereford Museum and art gallery (I LOVE hunting round small scale exhibitions for weird and wonderful objects).

Last night I went with my friend Kyle Bean to the Bodhi Gallery, Brick Lane, London to hear David Wilson talk about the new video he’s created for Moray Mclaren and the song We got time. It was a great evening, before and after the presentation SeeNoEvil showed personal work from contemporary animators and film-makers and then we were treated to a talk about the techniques and inspirations which went into the video.
I’m definitely looking forwards to seeing what David comes up with next.
